Raw Chocolate Tart

This is AMAZING.

You will need:

  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 cup dates, pitted
  • 2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup agave nectar
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • pinch of cinnamon, vanilla, and cayenne (if you want an extra kick)

In a food processor, add the pecans and blend until they become a fine powder. Add the dates, two at a time until the mixture becomes sticky and starts to hold on to itself.

In an 8” drop pan, pour in the dough and press evenly on the bottom and the sides of the pan.

In an electric mixer, add the cocoa, agave, coconut oil, and spices and mix until it becomes smooth, like a ganache.

Add the filling to the pan and place in the fridge for about 2 hours, or until it has set.

*note: the original recipe that I created this from had very inaccurate measurements, so you might need to add more or less of each ingredient. Just be aware of the size of your pan and mix accordingly.
