Spicy Mixed Nuts

These are so tasty!

Thanks to Giada for inspiring this treat. (I modified the sugar for those of us who can’t handle such a sweet ingredient.)

You will need:

  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 cups dry roasted, salted almonds
  • 2 cups ” ” cashews
  • 1 cup halved walnuts
  • 2 T cumin
  • 2 T curry powder
  • 1 T cardamon
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 cup honey

Beat egg whites until frothy. Add nuts and mix. Add all spices and then the honey. Mix well.

Place in 250 degree oven on a baking sheet coated in oil or cooking spray and cook for about 45 minutes.
Let cool for about 30 minutes.

  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 5 mint sprigs
  • 1 750 ml bottle Limoncello
  • 1-2 cups sparkling water
  • chilled glasses
